News & Updates

Announcing a brand new website on the Internets! Culinary Craftiness, the category I established here in September 2012 is now a full-fledged recipe site. I love cooking and sharing the dishes I’ve whipped up. I hope you’ll find my culinary endeavors appealing and give them a try. Please click on over and check it out! I have many more recipes to post over the next few weeks so don’t be alarmed by the avalanche. I promise, it won’t last long and things will settle into a somewhat hit or miss routine. LOL Also, check out the “Notes & Asides” page for more info. 🙂

It’s been over a year since the surgery! It’s hard to believe how fast time zips by. I just wanted to let y’all know I’m feeling better than I have in many long years, but I’m struggling with a new side-effect–weight gain. :\ No doubt it’s from a lack of estrogen. The risks of estrogen replacement therapy far outweigh the benefits for me at this point so working out and trying to eat right is the best I can do for now.

My one-year tests all came back clear with no sign of any new abnormalities or cancer markers. \o/

The panic/anxiety has become a rarity (unless I think about driving), but I’m still on the same line up of drugs, minus the Ativan. I only need it on super rare occasions now. \o/ Still no answer on why my adrenals are messed up or how to fix them. Still not driving, but it’s getting easier to leave my comfort zone and venture out into the big wide world. That’s something anyway. 🙂

*UPDATE: I’ve been driving!!! I’ve only ventured out alone once and it wasn’t pretty at the first stop light, but I survived. 🙂 It feels great to be behind the wheel again, even if I’ve got someone in the passenger seat.

*UPDATE UPDATE: Back to not being able to drive again. I’m not giving up though.

I’ve started a new Wild Edibles project to share plants found in the wild that can be grown in your front, back, and side yards that are not only decorative, but tasty and good for you. If you don’t have a yard, many can be grown in pots–especially herbs that not only make food taste great, but have beneficial vitamins and nutrients for a healthier you. Drop by Culinary Craftiness and give it a look. I’d love to hear you’re filling your yards with lovely wild edibles! 🙂

This girl is writing again! A new story is in the works, a contemporary paranormal. I know that probably won’t come as a surprise to some of you, but it’s so unlike anything I’ve written before, I still can’t believe my imagination is conjuring it up. Hopefully I’ll be able to carve out more time for putting words to page after I get Culinary Craftiness and Wild Edible Landscapes going well.

New abandoned and haunted posts are coming to this site. Hang on! 🙂
