The book signing at the Horseshoe Beach Spring Festival on the Gulf of Mexico went great! I sold lots of books and had a great time talking with a bunch of very friendly people. I’ll share all the pics from this awesome day in another post. 🙂

Jimmie and I ate some killer grilled bacon-wrapped shrimp and fresh squeezed lemonade. So yum!

At the end of the day, we took a drive down to the waterfront to take a few moments to restore our souls before heading back to Gainesville. There something incredibly restorative about gazing out at big bodies of water.

We had to stop at Las Avina Mexican Restaurant in Newberry on the way home. Delish!

I’m still plugging away at both the stories I plan to publish this year, though I’m terribly behind. Fabulous romance author and one of my best gal-pals Roberta Bombonato and I have started a new business venture – Mermaids at Heart Gifts – and we’re working hard at the crafting table recycling, repurposing, and reusing the things typically thrown in the trash and turning them into sweet treasures. We’ll be taking our crafty creations on the road to area fairs and festivals. Our store grand opening (aka booth) will be coming to a north or north central Florida town soon! To see where we’ll be, we’ll share the dates and places on our new facebook page – https://facebook.com/MermaidsAtHeartGifts
